Grey Street Hotel has recently undergone a huge £1.2m refurbishment and development programme. The Grade II-listed venue’s renovation included re-designed bedrooms, newly created conference facilities and a purpose built urban beauty retreat, All About You.
The hotel’s 49 bedrooms have been re-designed to reflect the city’s cultural heritage with monochrome colour schemes highlighted by accent colours such as fuschia pink, teal blue and mustard yellow. Each room also features a statement wall bearing black white images of famous Geordies, such as Earl Grey – from whom the hotel and street take their name – and landmarks, including the Tyne Bridge and Grey’s Monument.
For corporate customers, the hotel’s main conference room, the Monument Suite, has been extended to hold more than 100 people and can be divided into smaller spaces, while a smaller meeting room, The Snug, holding up to six people, has been created for private events.
