We are pleased to announce that our nominated Charity of the Year 2023 (based on employee votes) is the Newcastle West End Foodbank.
We are sure that you agree that this charity provides an essential service for the local community and is a worthy choice for the Group.
The Foodbank provides food parcels, meals and welfare assistance for people who are unable to afford food for themselves or their families. The ongoing cost of living crisis is resulting in more people using their services. Newcastle West End Foodbank operates a network of 7 Foodbank distribution hubs across the Newcastle city region. Their work is only made possible by the generosity of organisations and people who provide them with donations that help them to sustain their services.
Thank you to all who took the time to vote in our nominations; we are truly looking forward to another year of fundraising for a fantastic, local charity with lots of events and campaigns planned throughout the year across all divisions of our Group.
We have had a very successful partnership with our 2022 Charity of the Year, Tyneside and Northumberland Mind, and will circulate an announcement of our total funds raised for 2022 in the New Year.
